52 Books in 52 Weeks

Okay, so for starters I'm a horrible blogger and this is only my second post in like a year... but that's not really what this post is about :) I just joined a group on Ravelry called "52 Books in 52 Weeks" and assuming that i actually manage to keep up with this (fingers crossed) it sounds like a great way to not only keep me reading on a regular basis but also to force me to keep track of everything i read in 2009. So this is where I'll be keeping tabs on just that.....

1. Unleash the Night ~ Sherrilyn Kenyon (Started January 2 - Finished January 3)

  • Book 9 of the Dark Hunter Series, which i love! Of my many guilty pleasures romance novels tops the list :)

2. Dark Side of the Moon ~ Sherrilyn Kenyon (Started January 4 - Finished January 9)

  • Book 10 of the Dark Hunter Series - Not my favorite of the Dark Hunter series.... a little more cheesy than most of Kenyon's books ... but still pretty good ... although Nick is pissing me off, he's a total dumba$$ in this book...

3. The Dream-Hunter ~ Sherrilyn Kenyon (Started January 10 - Inprogress)

  • Book 1 of the Dream Hunter Series

Pleased to make your acquaintance...

Let me introduce myself.... I'm 24, female, and I live in NW Arkansas. I work for an Accounting Firm (Ernst & Young), most people have never heard of my firm ... I guess us accountants are more of behind the scenes workers. I'm okay with that :) I like my job (for the most part, the long hours kinda suck but there's not much I can do about that); it's challenging and makes me think.... sometimes stressful, but that's okay... i work best under pressure. That's enough about my job, it consumes a large part of my life but there's much more to me than that (thank God).

I'm also a 2nd Degree Blackbelt in Taekwondo. Somedays I wonder how that happened, but I'm glad that it did :) I started Taekwondo in college, and it changed my life. I've met some of my best friends through TKD and developed a higher level of confidence than I ever thought possible. After I finished grad school I moved to NW Arkansas to start my job (that was about 8 months ago) and I just recently found a new TKD school here. And I'm totally psyched! The people here are fantastic! And let's just say, it's time to start working out again :) I didn't realize how out of shape I am until I went to my first class on Monday... I'm still sore... but then again, maybe 2 classes was pushing it alittle on my first day back :)

My 2nd favorite hobby is Knitting / Crafts of most kinds .... I know knitting makes me sound old, but knitting has gotten a face lift in recent years. There are tons of awesome patterns out there now for just about everything. I haven't had a lot of time to knit lately, or anything else for that matter.... as previously stated, I'm an accountant and we've been working on our year-end audit (that's right audit, not taxes.... shocking but not all accountants do taxes... in fact, the only taxes I have any intention of ever doing are my own), so we've been REALLY busy. The past few months have consisted of work and sleep (and way more work than sleep).

Anyway, that's some of the basics about me :) There's more, but we'll get to that later... right now, I've got to get to studying for the CPA exam... it sucks but that's life ... see ya next time :)
